STUDI KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS IKAN DI SUNGAI BATANG TEBO KABUPATEN BUNGO PROVINSI JAMBI

Abstract

The diversity of fish species includes all fish species found in the Batang Tebo River, A species can be defined as a group of individual fish that exhibit several important characteristics that differ from other groups morphologically. This study aims to determine the diversity of fish species in the Batang Tebo River, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. The research method used is purposive sampling, namely research is carried out based on objectives by taking into account various considerations of the conditions and circumstances of the research site or characteristics such as the dominant condition of sand mining activities and others.The results of the study obtained the number of individuals 159 tails, the number of species in station I found 10 species, station II found 11 species, and station III 7 species with diversity level for the III station with a value of 2.78 (medium level of diversity).
