DAMPAK SERTIFIKASI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KUALITAS MENGAJAR DAN KEDISIPLINAN GURU DI SMP NEGERI 1 TOLITOLI

Abstract


Certification is a form of appreciation for the achievement of teacher performance so that the goals of national education can be achieved properly. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of certification on improving the quality of teaching teachers and to know the effect of certification on improving teacher discipline in SMP NEGERI 1 TOLITOLI. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques, observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were one school principal, three certification teachers and 2 students at SMP NEGERI 1 TOLITOLI using data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of this study have a positive impact, which can be seen from the indicators of teaching quality, namely teacher skills, student activities, learning materials and media, learning systems and the second indicator of teacher discipline, namely honesty, punctuality and responsibility.
